Step 1: Install the BitBucket Plugin in Jenkins
Integrated CI/CD enables you to create a link between Bitbucket Data Center and Server and Jenkins, unlocking a range of benefits. Bitbucket can receive build statuses, test results, and other feedback from Jenkins, and display it in context where it matters most. In Jenkins, you can pick a Bitbucket repository and checkout its sources without specifying additional credentials. It exposes a single URI endpoint that you can add as a WebHook within each Bitbucket project you wish to integrate with. This single endpoint receives a full data payload from Bitbucket upon push (see their documentation), triggering compatible jobs to build based on changed repository/branch. AWS Glue now supports GitLab and BitBucket, alongside GitHub and AWS CodeCommit, broadening your toolset for managing data integration pipeline deployments.

Bitbucket Server instances are added and configured at the system level. Once they’re added users can select them from the SCM when creating a Jenkins job. You must add at least one Bitbucket Server instance to Jenkins. AWS Glue now integrates with Git-based systems, which can help with the managing versions of your jobs.

To use a different Jenkinsfile for different branches of your Bitbucket Server project, you need to create a Multibranch Pipeline and add the Jenkinsfile to the repo of each branch you want to build. Bitbucket Server
We’ve introduced the Discover pull requests behavior when configuring the Bitbucket branch source for Multibranch pipeline projects. This new trait allows jobs to discover and build pull requests. It also includes support for pull requests from forked repositories. Pull request discovery can also be automatically triggered by enabling the Pull request opened or source branch updated webhook trigger for the multibranch pipeline job.
The problem is once a multi project pipeline is created there is no way to change and save the configuration, So I need to be able to set the trigger value in the jenkins file. Once you’ve added a Bitbucket Server instance to Jenkins, users will be able to select it when creating a job. This will make it easier for them to select the repo to be cloned.

Using the plugin

It streamlines this entire process, removing the need for multiple plugins to achieve the same workflow. Push code to my repo but nothing happens on the jenkins side. I believe I have all the bits and pieces for the server connectivity configured fine as a connection test works fine.
Jenkins then searches for projects with a matching repository. If you, like me, have CamelCase in your repository URL in your project configuration you will be able to check out code, but the pattern matching on the webhook request will fail. Once you’ve added a Bitbucket Server instance to Jenkins users will be able to select it when creating a job, which will make it easier for them to select the repo to be cloned. They’ll also be able to select the Bitbucket Server build trigger to automatically create a webhook. When adding a Bitbucket Server instance you must add at least one Bitbucket Server personal access token. For this to work the tokens you add must have project admin permissions.
